Dairy Cottage is a single-level retreat tucked away from the main park, with ramp access, wide doorways and a wet room for easy mobility. This dog-friendly home sleeps four across two bedrooms, is furnished with rustic oak pieces, and has a fully equipped kitchen opening onto a private courtyard with BBQ facilities. Ideally located to access all areas of our park and fishing lake with ample parking on the door step.

About Dairy Cottage

Dairy Cottage is a beautifully converted former farm building offering single-level living with ramp access and wide doorways for effortless entry. Inside, the bright open-plan lounge and dining area is furnished with handcrafted rustic oak pieces that marry country charm with modern comfort. Double-glazed windows and central heating keep the space warm, quiet and cosy all year round. A shower seat and toilet aid can be provided on request.

Your self-contained kitchen features an oven, hob, microwave, kettle and all the utensils you need to cook in style. Through French doors you’ll step into a private enclosed courtyard garden, complete with BBQ table and chairs, perfect for leisurely breakfasts or an evening glass of wine under the stars.

Just a short stroll from your door lies our 3 acre premium well stocked fishing lake. On-site amenities include a games room and children’s play park, plus a petting farm home to friendly alpacas, Valais Blacknose sheep and our golden retriever family dogs. Complimentary Wi-Fi (limits apply) ensures you stay connected as you unwind.

Dairy Cottage was amazing and finished to a very high standard. Was very clean when we arrived and lots of little 'extras' including milk and tooth brush just in case we'd forgotten anything.

Fishing was excellent with plenty of decent carp and big bream pulled out. Again, attention to detail with facility to 'dip' nets and mats and fence all around.

The gated s accommodation meant we were secure at all times as only possible to gain entry via the 'key fob' provided.

We had an excellent break and will definitely be using again.

A fantastic stay at Barmston Farm.
Met Dana and Zane on arrival and are so welcoming and happy to talk about their holiday park. My 4th time and 1st with the new owners, they have put a lot hard work into making this a 5 star holiday park, adding their own personal touch. Myself and a pal came for a few days fishing and it was brilliant to be able to fish all four sides of the lake, so many nice carp was caught and never disappoints. You can’t fail to catch fish here. We stayed in fox cottage, very clean and tidy. It has everything you need and has Dana’s personal touch with even bath robes and slippers.Gas Bbq too which is a great touch. Will definitely return and was a pleasure to meet the both of you.

Well were do you start returning to barmston farm since take over even when you arrive at the main gates the entrance is lovely then round to meet dana and zane i have always been how i feel about people when i first meet them and dana and zane are 2 of the nicest people you could meet so friendly and welcoming the work and changes they have done in such a short time is mind blowing and with danas touch on everything so beautiful the fishing well lets just say if you dont catch fish take up golf someone said lol the news lodges are beautiful and wish yous all the look for the future felt like we left as friends could go on and on but you really need to see and stay for yourself such friendly staff as well so all i can say is thankyou to yous and see yous in 7 weeks i have not been paid for this review and not forgetting bellas petting farm love it even if you dont fish there are lots of lovely walks and the wildlife is fantastic barmston farm is a beautiful place to visit

We have stayed here before, but the new owners have improved it greatly. All cottages have had a revamp and are gorgeous. The pool has had a great deal done to it. Cant praise it enough
Urge others to go and experience it themselves. They wont be disappointed

We travelled all the way from Australia to stay at Barmston Farm in Yorkshire, and it truly exceeded every expectation.

Otter Cottage is absolutely beautiful, a real home away from home. It’s incredibly comfortable, cosy, and thoughtfully set up with every amenity you could possibly need. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making guests feel welcome and relaxed from the moment you arrive.

The farm itself is just as wonderful. The fishing lake and surrounding grounds are peaceful and perfect for exploring, whether you're enjoying a quiet walk or simply soaking in the countryside.

One of the biggest highlights for our family was the animals. The gorgeous friendly sheep, the alpacas, and especially the baby pygmy goats were an absolute delight. They made the stay even more special and memorable.

Dana and Zane are fantastic hosts, so kind, welcoming, and always helpful while still giving you space to enjoy the farm at your own pace.

Barmston Farm is a truly special place, and we feel very lucky to have experienced it. We travelled a long way from Australia, and it was worth every kilometre. We would absolutely love to return one day.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barmston Farm staying in Otter Cottage. Dana and her family could not have been more welcoming, taking time out to make our daughter feel very welcome, including allowing us all to meet their lovely animals. The cottages are cosy, well furnished and comfortable within a short drive from amenities and close to the coast. We had a lovely stay and would recommend to anybody else considering booking. We also had family members staying in Fox Cottage who also enjoyed their stay. Thank you Dana and family!

We have had a fantastic time at Barmston Farm, the farm is very private and quiet and the accommodation is top end luxury. We enjoyed feeding the alpacas, chickens and the cutest sheep. Kids playground and games room are superb. Lake and walks so peaceful and perfect accommodation to unwind in. Our children truely enjoyed getting back to nature and playing with their friends. Also had some fantastic days out, such a beautiful area. We can not thank Dana and Zane enough, for making us feel so welcome and ensuring we had a wonderful holiday. Love from Australia!

my husband and myself have spent many a happy hour at this holiday spot. but after a change of owner we were worried it would have changed, and boy has it
cottages are beautiful with extra little touches that make it even more pleasurable to be in.
the lake has had considerable work done on it that can only improve the venue
Dana and Zane are welcoming, warm and very friendly. cannot praise this place enough and cant wait to go back. Having been back once , we already have two more holidays booked this year and are looking at next year too. Just hope we can get in

Hosts Dana and Zane and their lovely family were top class. We could not fault a single thing at Barmston.
The new management family team were brilliant from arrival to departure.
As always the fishing was great too . Lots of quality carp .
