Barmston Farm FAQs

Hi we booked 4 nights at barmston farm holiday park,stayed in one of the new lodges we was really impressed with the time and effort that has been put into these lodges and the cottages ,everything was included on arrival, ie towels,robes ,slippers, shampoos and conditioners and even a bottle of milk in fridge ,Zane and Dana have made this new retreat absolutely stunning,
If you want a nice peiceful and relaxing experience this is definitely the place to go.
The petting farm is brilliant for the kids and even the adults lol.
Had a day on the very well stocked fishing lake all pegged out and very scenic caught some really nice carp ,f1s and even a gudgeon.
Has a games room were we played pool and darts also other games and books.
Upon waking up early morning the wildlife is there right outside your window ie rabbits ,squirrels different aray of birds.
There is also a great new park for the young ones to play in .
We would also like to mention the site manager (matty) when we arrived matty was there to meet us he is such a great guy any problems matty was there to sort them out,In the morning he would take our son who is autistic to help him feed the animals and he loved it so just want to say a massive thanks for matty for all his help and Zane,Dana,and family for giving us a fantastic break 😀
We will be definitely be booking again very soon this is our go to retreat now for sure and would highly recommend it to family and friends who want a nice quiet place to stay and just unwind

Having stayed at Barmston Farm several times with the previous owners, our stay this time was much nicer. This is purely down to the new owners and the incredible changes that they have made. The whole area and the properties have had a complete makeover and are now cleaner and much more inviting. Nothing was too much trouble, thanks Matty for all your help and thanks for the lovely fresh eggs, everything was clean and the cottage was really comfortable and a home from home. We were shown around the new lodges as we were interested in staying in one of them and they look incredible. My family and I will definately be back next year.

We had a wonderful short break at Barmston Farm. The accommodation (Dairy Cottage) was amazing. My husband caught some great carp and wished he could have stayed longer. We are definitely going back. The owners Dana and Zane were wonderful hosts. We would highly recommend Barmston Farm.

We had a lovely stay at Barmston Farm and really enjoyed our time there. The whole place was beautifully clean, tidy and well looked after. You can tell a lot of care has gone into the refurbishment of the park, and everything feels fresh, modern and welcoming.

The animals were gorgeous and clearly very well cared for, and the fishing lake was a real highlight. It was a pleasure to fish there and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Dairy Cottage has also been updated really nicely. It’s modern, comfortable and beautifully presented, making it a great place to stay.

Zane and Dana were fantastic hosts and a real pleasure to meet. They were friendly and welcoming, and their hard work and attention to detail really show throughout the site.

Overall, we had a brilliant stay and would definitely recommend Barmston Farm ,

If its relaxation, peace and quiet you are looking for this is the place! Not only is it great fishing and first rate accommodation. It offers lots for the family from young to old. Couldn’t recommend more.

First visit to Barmston farm with 5 friends for a relaxing fishing trip. One of our friends had been numerous times and was full of high praise for it.
It definitely lived up to its 5 star rating. We had hired fox cottage and otter cottage and both were definitely 5 star accommodation and furnished to a very high standard. We pretty much had the lake to ourselves and the lake itself is stunning and has pegs set up all around the lake. Between us we had over 100 carp over the weekend with the biggest upto 15lbs. We were told there is some 20lb+ in there but didn't show for us which was the only disappointment on the fishing side.
Other facilities include a brand new outdoor playground that looked amazing for the younger children and there is also a playroom with a pool table, dartboard and other games to keep everyone amused.
We had uber eats delivered to the site every night which is a bonus bit there is a shop around 5 minutes drive away.
We will definitely be returning and looking to get it booked again for next year.

We have just returned from our stay in kingfisher Lodge and all I can say is wow lovely and comfortable clean and modern with lots of lovely personal touches making it such a lovely place to spend some time.
We where met by Matt after we arrived hes the farm manager just came to make sure we had everything we needed and new how to work everything such a pleasant guy and very approachable so thanks Matt for that.
The site is small and friendly with only 5 brand new lodges and 4 cottages, theres lots of animals on site its like a small petting farm great if you have children with you theres alo a games room with a pool table dart board and some board games theres a brand new play park for the children to so plenty of things to keep the little ones amused.
My husband is a keen fisherman and took advantage of the great fishing available on the 3 acre lake he had some lovely carp out whilst there the lake has an otter fence all the way round it and sits slightly away from where the lodges are so its always peaceful and quiet with plenty of good sized well maintained pegs fishing is only available to customers staying on site which is an added bonus as theres always plenty of pegs available.
We had a lovely chilled out time here at Barmston farm park Dana and Zane the owners are doing a fantastic job of regenerating the park to a five star standard we look forward to returning in the near future many thanks

Stayed in dairy cottage. Wonderful cottage, having a look round the park, zane and his team have done a great job on the play area for the children.
The petting zoo is coming on a treat
The fishing pool has had the most work done as all the pegs are now open . Even seen some wildlife i havent seen before, voles and even a grass snake.
We had a great time, cant wait to go again

It’s a beautiful place to visit,everyone is very friendly and helpful, the location is very good very close to Beverley. There is a very well stocked fishing pond with big carp, bream,tench its a lovely place very private and secure.

This was our 5th year visiting Barmston and our 2nd visit since Dana, Zane & family took over last year. We commented at the time on the work (tlc) done around the site in the short time they had been in residence. The additional work that has been done from then to now is, once again, to be commended. We stayed in one of the new lodges - one word- brilliant - very comfortable with all needs covered - very Impressive. The fishing, despite the best efforts of the very high temperatures to put the fish (and us) to sleep was a good as ever with great strides taken to improve access to the lake which was still ongoing so can only improve choices etc, further. As ever we were welcomed with open arms by Dana and the staff and enjoyed our various conversations throughout our stay with all. We are looking forward to our next visit in the near future so keep up the good work.
One word of caution (very minor) if you live in a town, city or non rural area. The dawn chorus is very loud but impressive, as is the relaxed atmosphere we enjoyed.

Loved. The animals there especially highland cows. Will definitely return.
