Sleeping four across a double and twin bedroom, the cottage features handcrafted oak furniture and an open-plan living space with a fully equipped kitchen for relaxed self-catering stays. The cottage has a private enclosed courtyard with ample seating including a dining table and chairs. Centrally heated and double glazed, it’s a comfortable escape year-round, just a short walk from the fishing lake and children’s play area.

About Fox Cottage

Fox Cottage is a beautifully renovated former farm building offering cosy, countryside accommodation for up to four guests. It includes two comfortable bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles. The open-plan living space is furnished with handcrafted rustic oak pieces that give the cottage its warm and homely feel. Central heating and double glazing ensure comfort all year round.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, kettle and all essential utensils for a stress-free self-catering stay. Outside, a private enclosed courtyard with ample seating including a dining table and chairs provides the perfect spot for relaxed outdoor meals.

Just a short walk from the cottage, you’ll find the fishing lake, children’s play area, and our friendly petting farm with alpacas, Valais Blacknose sheep and golden retrievers. Wi-Fi is available across the site, with usage limits depending on your location.

Stayed in otter cottage. Beautifully clean and very comfortable. Warmest quilt ive ever been under!
Fishing was excellent, tried many pegs,caught carp in all of them.plenty of work been done around the lake making for a better fishing trip.

We have had a fantastic time at Barmston Farm, the farm is very private and quiet and the accommodation is top end luxury. We enjoyed feeding the alpacas, chickens and the cutest sheep. Kids playground and games room are superb. Lake and walks so peaceful and perfect accommodation to unwind in. Our children truely enjoyed getting back to nature and playing with their friends. Also had some fantastic days out, such a beautiful area. We can not thank Dana and Zane enough, for making us feel so welcome and ensuring we had a wonderful holiday. Love from Australia!

my husband and myself have spent many a happy hour at this holiday spot. but after a change of owner we were worried it would have changed, and boy has it
cottages are beautiful with extra little touches that make it even more pleasurable to be in.
the lake has had considerable work done on it that can only improve the venue
Dana and Zane are welcoming, warm and very friendly. cannot praise this place enough and cant wait to go back. Having been back once , we already have two more holidays booked this year and are looking at next year too. Just hope we can get in

Hosts Dana and Zane and their lovely family were top class. We could not fault a single thing at Barmston.
The new management family team were brilliant from arrival to departure.
As always the fishing was great too . Lots of quality carp .

We have visited Barmston Farm on 2 occasions, once in a caravan and last week in Dairy Cottage which is dog friendly. Enjoyed both holidays and accommodation great.

We have just returned from a brilliant long weekend stay at Barmston Farm. The caravans are clean, spacious and well equipped. The surroundings are incredibly safe & I felt at ease letting my 2 children run off to the on-site park which they loved! The outdoor space was our children’s favourite. They had so much room to play. The fishing lake is fantastic! It isn’t open to the public so only residents can fish which means that sometimes, you do get the entire lake to yourself! The whole site is exceptionally well kept & the time & effort they have put in to create this hidden gem is clear to see. Prior to our stay, I did read a review about the road being full of pot holes. Yes, it does have pot holes, as do most off road tracks due to the constant bad weather! You can drive around them!

The fishing is fantastic and relaxing has it is a private lake well worth it and some decent weights to be had all round fantastic experience would recommend to anyone
